Animated Educational Movie

This high school project revealed my early interest in design.

Many high school students in Latvia participate in an annual nationwide research competition about the topic of their personal interest. I was pursuing a research about the efficiency of visual aids in teaching informatics to high school students. To achieve the research aims, I divided a particular class in two groups (random sequence) in the informatics lecture. For one, I had created an animation movie they had to learn a particular topic from. The other group of students had to learn the same topic, but from less visual materials (verbal hand-outs) than the first group. At the end of the lecture, both groups were given the same test about the particular topic they were learning about.  The first group (that learned from the movie) scored higher results than the other group.
